What's This About?

I try to read a chapter of Proverbs each day. This is a simple way to keep me on track; to discipline myself to read/think/pray/post...hopefully daily...a portion of scripture and make a comment or observation...and invite yours! Add your insights, comments, or disagreements concerning the proverb of the day in the "comments."

Start Now!

You have dreams, aspirations, goals, visions...whatever term you want to use, there is stuff you want/feel called/need to do.

So get off your knees and do something! Am I saying prayer isn't enough? Yeah. As a native American proverb puts it, "Pray, but row away from the rocks."

Whatever your aim, there is stuff you can do now...research/plan/seek counsel/put it in writing/whatever.

Proverbs 28.19 puts it, "Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits will have plenty of poverty."

I think "worthless pursuits" includes daydreaming without discipline, prayers without obedience, and "grass is greener on other side"-itus.
