What's This About?

I try to read a chapter of Proverbs each day. This is a simple way to keep me on track; to discipline myself to read/think/pray/post...hopefully daily...a portion of scripture and make a comment or observation...and invite yours! Add your insights, comments, or disagreements concerning the proverb of the day in the "comments."

Don't Get Big Headed

I believe it was Howard Hendricks who said, "You know you are in trouble when you start to believe your own press releases."

When we do something well, and people start to give us props and high fives...watch out!

Proverbs 27.21:

The crucible is for silver,
and the furnace is for gold,
and
a man is tested
by
his praise.
