What's This About?

I try to read a chapter of Proverbs each day. This is a simple way to keep me on track; to discipline myself to read/think/pray/post...hopefully daily...a portion of scripture and make a comment or observation...and invite yours! Add your insights, comments, or disagreements concerning the proverb of the day in the "comments."

Wonder Why?

Proverbs 25.2 "It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out."

Why does God "conceal things"? In this context it gives the unlazy impetus to "search things out."

I've heard it said that there is a cure for everything in the Bible except laziness....

And one of my favorite verses is Deut 29.29

It's okay to be puzzled, it's okay to say "I don't understand," it's okay to say "I'm confused," but unless we are willing to do the hard work of thinking/praying/reading...we won't find out much!
